Through comprehensive and systematic collection of existing evidence, systematic review adopts clinical epidemiological methods, strictly evaluates the quality of evidence, qualitatively or quantitatively combines research results, and finally provides a reliable basis for solving a focused clinical problem. The number of systematic reviews has increased rapidly. With references to the Checklist, this review discussed the typical issues with current systematic reviews in nursing, and highlighted the crucial components for reporting systematic reviews at every essential step.

Chinese Journal of Nursing    2023, 58 (16): 1932-1939.   DOI: 10.3761/j.issn.0254-1769.2023.16.002

Objective To explore the health behavior changes in first-degree relatives(FDRs) of breast cancer(BC) survivors. Methods A multiple embedded case study was adopted, and a total of 21 FDRs of BC survivors were recruited by purpose sampling between January 2020 and July 2021. Data were collected through individual interviews, original documents, and observation. Then, thematic analysis was performed based on case study analysis strategies. Results Health behavior change types included “with intention and condition”,“no intention, with condition”,“with intention,no condition”,and “no intention and condition”. Meanwhile, there were 6 influencing factors, including personal restrictions, exposure, adverse circumstances, coping ability, endorsement from social network, and special events. Based on behavior change types and influence factors,6 hypotheses were drawn and a model of FDRs’ behavior changes for coping with BC risk was developed. Conclusion Healthcare professionals should design targeted interventions based on FDRs’ individual circumstances and help them tilt the model scale to the right by increasing facilitators, reducing barriers, strengthening special events, and improving coping ability, which will ultimately lead to the occurrence of protective behaviors and a reduced risk of BC.

SUN Liu, WANG Ying, LIANG Jiagui, CHEN Shaohua, LIU June
Chinese Journal of Nursing    2022, 57 (6): 748-755.   DOI: 10.3761/j.issn.0254-1769.2022.06.016

Objective To systematically evaluate the experience of elderly patients on coping with multiple chronic conditions(MCCs).Methods Pubmed, the Cochrane Library,Web of Science,EmBase,CNKI,Wanfang Database and VIP database were searched for qualitative research studies on experience of elderly patients with MCCs. The retrieval period was from inception to August 2021. The Joanna Briggs Institute Critical Appraisal Tool for qualitative research(2016) in Australia was used to evaluate quality of the studies. A meta-synthesis method was used to integrate the results. Results A total of 15 studies were included;60 findings were extracted;10 cate-gories were summarized;3 integrated results were formed, namely changes caused by MCCs and aging, reflection and response to MCCs,adjusting to a normal life. Conclusion Aging with MCCs brings many challenges to the life of elderly patients. Health professionals should pay attention to the different coping styles of patients with MCCs,and develop feasible and support programs to help them better cope with MCCs which derived from their wisdom.

SONG Pengjuan, LIU Jun’e, CHEN Shaohua, LIU Juan, LIU Fang
Chinese Journal of Nursing    2022, 57 (2): 133-139.   DOI: 10.3761/j.issn.0254-1769.2022.02.001
Abstract1340)   HTML14)    PDF (891KB)(52)       Save

Objective To explore the effect of “Return-to-Family” intervention program on rehabilitation effects of breast cancer survivors. Methods A total of 70 breast cancer survivors were recruited by convenient sampling in Breast Surgery Department and Breast Nursing Clinic of a tertiary hospital in Beijing. They were divided into a control group and an intervention group, and each group has 35 patients. In the intervention group, the program of “Return-to-Family” intervention was carried out. In the control group, the routine care was provided. The effectiveness of the intervention program was assessed before and after intervention by the function of shoulder joint and arm at affected side, the Disabilities of the Arm,Shoulder and Hand questionnaire(Quick-DASH),the Cancer Rehabilitation Evaluation System-Short Form(CARES-SF),the Family Adaptability and Cohesion Evaluation Scales (FACES). Results After intervention, the total scores of the function of shoulder joint and arm at affected side, the FACES in the intervention group were higher than those in the control group and those before intervention(P< 0.05). The total scores of the Quick-DASH and the CARES-SF in the intervention group were lower than those in the control group and those before intervention(P<0.05). Conclusion “Return-to-Family” intervention benefits the improvement of upper limb function, quality of life, family function for breast cancer patients, and help breast cancer survivors return to family smoothly.
